Church Of England Idiocy

Ok, yes we know they've got homosexual parishioners. We know they've got homosexual priests and bishops. They know it, too ... which makes this following Politically Correct "compromise" really fuckin' stupid:

Homosexual priests in the Church of England will be allowed to “marry” their boyfriends under a proposal drawn up by senior bishops, led by Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury.

The decision ensures that gay and lesbian clergy who wish to register relationships under the new “civil partnerships” law — giving them many of the tax and inheritance advantages of married couples — will not lose their licences to be priests.

They will, however, have to give an assurance to their diocesan bishop that they will abstain from sex. The bishops are trying to uphold the church doctrine of forbidding clergy from sex except in a full marriage. They accept, however, that the new law leaves them little choice but to accept the right of gay clergy to have civil partners.

Translation: "Gentleman, you can love each other, kiss each other, hold hands, and enjoy the benefits that heterosexual marriage provides. Just don't bloody hell fuck each other, okay?!?!"

Ohio Sues Bush "Pioneer" Noe

Stick a fuckin' fork in him.

Toledo's CBS Affiliate
WTOL-11 has the latest onion peel on what has become the most rotten scam the entire Ohio GOP has involved themselves in since last November back when the Grinnch stole that state's electoral votes. Toledo coin dealer and Republican campaign contributor Tom Noe is getting sued after a search of his shop turns up 80% of the missing coins, leaving 20% still unaccounted for:

State officials say they're planning on suing a coin dealer after his attorney told them $10 to $12 million of the state's $55 million investment in rare coins is missing. Officials do not know what assets are missing or where those items are supposed to be, said Jeremy Jackson, a spokesman for the Bureau of Workers' Compensation. The bureau invested in rare coins in the late 90's as a way to hedge its investments in stocks and bonds.

Oh, but it gets more bloody:

Investigators went to Noe's coin shop under a court order issued Thursday morning, but weren't able to remove coins from their cases to inspect them and verify authenticity, Jackson said. The bureau had made $15.3 million from the investments while Noe has collected about $3.8 million in commission.

His shop outside Toledo had one of the two largest coin caches in the collection. About a dozen cars, including Ohio State Highway Patrol cruisers, were in the shop's lot Thursday, and a sign on the door read, "Closed for inventory." Later in the evening, crews were seen taking boxes in and out of the shop.

"Mr. Noe will continue to cooperate with the investigation," said Jud Scheaf, a legal partner with Noe attorney William Wilkinson. He could not provide more details.

Um, I don't know what clue Mr. Scheaf has but when Noe's employees are seen carrying out boxes in and out of the shop all night long, that's not cooperating. That's pulling an Enron at the wee hours of the motherfuckin' morning. Sure, baseball, Pokemon, and Magic: The Gathering cards could be shredded. Lhurgoyfs and Howling Mines are a dime a dozen but, then again, Tom Noe does strike me as a kind of moronic asswipe who would shred a Mox Ruby in front of Richard Garfield or take a Zippo to a Blastoise as a bunch of 8 year olds watch so here's to hoping the feds will sift through Noe's trash just in case. Ahhh, but since coins can't be shredded (damn those Bush hating liberal metalics and alloys), boxes will have to suffice in ridding ones crooked self of other possibly incriminating evidence.

If you're lost on what this whole thing is all about, head over to
AmericaBlog where Joe has a complete rundown of the corruption that bleeds through the entire Ohio state GOP. That's right -- the entire Republican leadership in the entire state. Read it for yourself. He, John Aravosis, and the entire gang over there have been peeling this onion on the Blogoshere since day one while WTOL-11 and The Toledo Blade hold the fort on the mainstream side.

The Blade is a fine newspaper -- the finest that can be found locally here. The morning my father passed away in my lap here at home two years ago, it was shortly after he arrived home from grabbing a copy of The Blade from a corner gas station 4 miles down the road. He never got the chance to read it but he loved The Blade dearly -- much more than the "fish-wrapper" the Monroe Evening News is -- and we saw to it that he got to read it on his way to Heaven by putting that very edition he bought that morning in the casket with him. Despite my not having read an edition of The Blade since Mike Royko passed away and Donald Kaul vanished, it still remains a fine paper.

With that all said, I echo Joe and John's opinion that The Blade should get a Pulitzer for their coverage and Channel 11 also deserves simular awards in broadcasting as Terry Thill, Chrys Peterson, Melissa Voetsch, and Jerry Anderson have been doing a fine job in their own right.

UPDATE: I had originally blogged that the authorites had turned up 20% of the missing coins and neglected to point out this happened early yesterday morning, not this morning. That oopsey has been corrected. This just goes to show you that even a blog in the hands of an insomniac is a terrible combination. If I can be excused, I'll be kicking myself in the ass the rest of the day (sure as hell won't be sleeping)

Dubya's "Michael Kinsley" Moment

A "Micheal Kinsley" moment is when a politician makes a gaffe by accidentally telling the truth. Yesterday in Greece, New York, President George W. Bush had one of those moments and Crooks & Liars has the audio. This has got to be heard in order to believed. It's the only shred of truth we have ever gotten out of this baffoon for a President in the past 5 years. My hat goes off to Mike and John over at C&L for the fine job they do. I've also made a screen capture off the White House's official website where this gaffe is published just in case those idiots think they're going to be slick and scrub it.

Posturing, Strutting, And Just Being A Plain Idiot

It has become apparent that the White House Spokesperson Scotty "Clueless" McClellan has multiple roles, the newest being head editor-in-chief of Newsweek magazine. As you all know by now, Newsweek had been raked over the coals for letting some truth about how much love some of our servicemen show to the Koran -- spitting on it, slinging it around, and flushing it in the toilet -- and according to The Bush Administration and the salaried Prime-Time Pundits of the corporate, money-whoring, Republican owned & operated mainstream media, Newsweek is being blamed for inciting riots and comitting murder. The largest pisser of the bunch is Ol' Clueless himself and as a result of his whining and bitching, Newsweek has since apologized and retracted their story -- a story that names a Pentagon official as its source.

In order to buy the Administrations story, one has to forget that accusations regarding Koran abuse has been getting coverage in our media as well as by the UK and Austrailian media dating all the way back to 2002 and there were no kvetching from the White House then nor were they any riots. You'll also have to forget that Newsweek vetted this out through various channels within the Pentagon and the White House itself for days prior to publication and again there wasn't a peep about it. Oh, but once it's in print, and unrelated rioting breaks out over in the Middle East, the Administration is suddenly crying foul and calling out their "Redefinition Squads". As I watched Clueless grandstand for the media, I kept expecting him to claim that Newsweek is mired by a bunch of "activist journalists" and - when asked for good news - he'd say that he just saved a couple of bucks on their car insurance by switching to Geico.

Of course, Clueless needs to posture and strut for this failing Administration and the Republican party after the amount of idiocy he bestowed upon us all back on May 13 when he was getting grilled about not informing President Bush that his wife and former first lady Nancy Reagan were among those evaucated in DC after a straying cessna put the nation under high alert until long after the "all-clear" was given. How exactly does one go about that, anyway? "Yes, Mr. President, we'll get right on smearing Senator Reid. Rove's wish is our command, praise Jesus. Oh, by the way, we had to evac your wife about a half hour ago and she's doing fine. Hey, how did you like that remix of Queen's 'Bicycle Race' I burned for you, sir?" Fucking idiots ... and Scotty is chief among them all.

While AmericaBlog justifiably focused more about how in God's name could the White House be fine and dandy leaving the President & Commander-In-Chief out of the loop, I can't help but notice something even more pathetic: of the 24 questions E&P's covered on the May 13th WH briefing, Clueless McClellan mentioned "September 11" a total of 6 times alone and each of those 6 questions were "tough" questions in the contexts of Bush's hands-on role (or lack thereof) in national security and domestic policy. Just goes to show that The Luntz Playbook is still in play over there (hell, probably in audio form on their iPods).

All Work And No Play...

Sorry for the lack of activity here as I've been trying to find a job (which better happen soon or I'm going dark for a while) and the only thing keeping me sane is time away from the PC. After mowing half the lawn earlier today, I decided to sit back and relax here at the keyboard and start typing away. The result is a large article that I plan to submit to the independent media and hope they greenlight it for publication. With that said, I need some stress relief so I'm off to play some SOFII or CS:Source on this computer or fire up Mortal Kombat: Deception on the PS2 for a spinal collumn or two. Too bad Joe Lieberman doesn't have a spine -- I could pretend they belonged to him!

Reap What You Sow Redeux

The title of the Daily Texan front-page story covering Ms. Coulter's speech was "Arrest Made At Coulter Speech." You could also have caught it on CBS or in the Austin-American Statesman. The general idea is that some jackass made a scene and Ann Coulter was also there.

I am Ajai Raj, and I am the jackass.

That's right, folks. The Texas college student who dared to skewer rightwing Neo-McCarthyist Blondie Bin Coulter with a question that earned him an unlawful arrest is now a free man and gives his side of the story. If you think his treatment by the police and Coulters' Republican Guard has intimidated him, think again: Raj not only skewers her repeatedly but parades her impaled carcass around as if to say to all humanity, "Yes, I Skewered Your Candy Ass And How The Fuck Do You Like That?!?!" and I sure as hell don't blame him. He's a brave motherfucker that deserves not only a medal but every single solitary red cent from the coffers of Blondie Bin Coulter and the State of Texas if he is so inclined on seeking legal retribution.

Ajai Raj, I salute you.

America needs more people like you who stand up for the Constitution; not wipe their asses with it.

STEPHANOPOULOS: You know, President Bush at that press conference also said that he believes you're equally American, whether you're Christian, Muslim or Jew. And I wonder if you fully accept that. Because in the past, you've said that you believe that only Christians and Jews are qualified to serve in the government.

Is that still your belief?

ROBERTSON: I'm not sure I'd make such a broad sweeping statement.

But you will not abide the election of a Republican president! In that supposed event, you say, you will destroy the Union; and then, you say, the great crime of having destroyed it will be upon us! That is cool. A highwayman holds a pistol to my ear, and mutters through his teeth, "Stand and deliver, or I shall kill you, and then you will be a murderer!"

Speechless

Just as the subject says, I'm speechless over something I just read at another blog. There will be no blockquotes here for they won't do slacktivist any justice. Just read it for yourself and you might just understand why I've been railing against right wing Christian fundamentalism for the past 5 years...

The Tali-Born Again Declare War

FAKE CHRISTIAN BASTARDS!

This above video is just as unbelievable as the details of the story. From the diary of Georgia10 at DailyKOS, the East Waynesville Baptist Church in North Carolina has excommunicated all of their members whom were Democrat and voted for Kerry instead of Bush. The pastor went so far as to say that they wouldn't be allowed back unless they repented of their sins and promised to vote Republican.

You know me - I call a spade a spade. The Religious Right are NOT Christian, NOT Religious, and have NEVER been right on a single thing in their miserable, fickle, sanctimonious lives. Furthermore the GOP aren't Christian, Religious, or right, and always cloak their intolerant, Un-American bullshit in a false shroud of righteousness giving lipservice to Christians and The Bible in order to filch wealth, power, and votes. FUCK 'EM! The gloves are coming off -- what needs to be done here is the same thing Jimmy Carter and the late Senator Barry Goldwater would do: SIC THE IRS ON THEM!! In the immortal words of a Pastor John Hagee: let the IRS conduct an audit on them going "all the way back to the Civil War!"

If they think it's fair and just to tell people how to vote and who to vote for or else risk getting kicked out of God's house, let's turn around and tell the very Government about their apparent vested interests in the outcome of politics so that they can do the real Christian thing by putting their money and their tax-exempt status where their meely mouths are. Let's see how long their politically-charged sermons remain (borrowing the apostle Paul's words) "in season" with Uncle Sam's eye on those millions they pay no taxes on. Oh, and if they respond by harming or killing "activist" judges, bombing abortion clinics, and terrorizing liberal or secular establishments, let's round 'em all up and cram into Camp X-Ray with all the rest of the religious terrorists.

Pat Robertson sharing a bunk and the torture rack with Al-Queda members?!?

Now, that's turning the corner in the War on Turr (if I may be so bold)...

Reap what you sow, bastards ... reap what you sow.

How Low Can You Go?

With the U.S. Army failing to reach their recruiting goals, a 17-year-old High School student decided to figure out how far the local recruiting center would go just to score one able body. The results are quite embarrassing:

McSwane contacted his local army recruiting office in Golden with a scenario he created. He told a recruiter that he was a dropout and didn't have a high school diploma.

"No problem," the recruiter explained. He suggested that McSwane create a fake diploma from a non-existent school.

McSwane recorded the recruiter saying that on the phone.

"It can be like Faith Hill Baptist School or something -- whatever you choose," the recruiter said.

As instructed, McSwane went on the computer to a Web site and for $200 arranged to have a phony diploma created that certified him as a graduate of Faith Hill Baptist High School, the very name the recruiter suggested. It came complete with a fake grade transcript.

"What was your reaction to them encouraging you to get a phony diploma?" CBS4's Rick Sallinger asked.

"I was shocked," McSwane said. "I'm sitting there looking at a poster that says 'Integrity, Honor, Respect' and he is telling me to lie."

Shame on the two recruiters for not only embarassing themselves, but embarassing the tax-payers, the U.S. Army, and their country. Kudos to McSwane and CBS 4's Rick Sallinger (along with DailyKos's Bill From Portland Maine for bringing this story to not only the public eye but to the eyes of Lt. Col. Jeff Brodeur.

After viewing the entire 8 minute video interview conducted with Mr. Brodeur, I'm confident that he will investigate this matter to the fullest extent and seek the proper form of discipline for these two recruiters for he is correct when he states that the U.S. Army can't afford to have recruiters who violate and undermine the values of the U.S. Army anymore than it can afford to have people who don't meet the physical, mental, and academic standards. Whether you're Democrat, Republican, Conservative, or Liberal, the bottom line is recruiting is a very serious and integral part of the military and the person being recruited gets their first impression of service immediately from the recruiter. The last thing anyone needs is to have recruiters give these prospectful enlistees the wrong impression of what service is. The cost is way too high.

Bloody Fingerprints - Courtesy of Bush & Ratzinger

The devil is in the details...

You see, the Bushes are robber barons, not capitalists: They never risk any of their own money in the competition of the marketplace. Nor do they ever pay the price when their deals go belly-up. Just ask George W., whose first business was jump-started with secret cash from the bin Ladens, laundered through their U.S. frontman, James Bath -- who was also hired by W.'s dad, then-CIA director George Bush Sr., to set up offshore companies for shifting CIA money and aircraft between Texas and Saudi Arabia, the Texas Observer reported.

Neilsy's latest business ventures include a partnership with one of China's own influence-peddling oligarchs: Jiang Mianheng, son of former President Jiang Zemin. He's paying Bush $2 million for "advice" in a field – the semiconductor industry -- which Neilsy cheerfully confesses he knows nothing about. Bush also trousered $1 million for "introductions and advice" from the CP Group, a Bangkok conglomerate spreading bipartisan gravy around Washington. In return for supplying his paymasters with a golden conduit to the White House, Neilsy received a special perk: free prostitutes, served up fresh to his hotel room during business trips to Asia.

But between his sessions of bouncy-bouncy with trafficked women, Neilsy was also sitting down with hard-line cleric Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, the former soldier for Nazi Germany now translated to glory as Pope Benedict XVI. The two men were board members of an obscure Swiss institute ostensibly devoted to "interfaith dialogue." Although the organization did have some prominent ecumenical figures on the board, none of them could say exactly why pimp-daddy Neilsy was invited to join, Newsday reported ... Whatever Neilsy and Das Panzerkardinal were up to in Switzerland, Ratzinger repaid their camaraderie with a decisive intervention in brother George's 2004 election, issuing a fatwa that essentially condemned any Catholic voting for John Kerry to eternal hellfire. With the Vatican's iron hand on the scales, Bush reaped an extra six percent of the Catholic vote -- a huge boost in a tight race.

Oh, but they're the true patriots that love America ...

(Danke to "Disco_Destroyer" for the head's up)
